Here is the step-by-step procedure to connect an RJ45 jack with the ethernet cable. 
  • First strip the outer layer of the cable. 
  • Untwist and straighten the wires, then arrange them by color according to a wiring diagram
  • Cut the cable, leaving 1/2 inch exposed from the sheath.
  • Insert the wires into the RJ45 jack with proper pin number and color codes, making sure they are fully inserted. 
  • Crimp the jack with a tool and check that all wires are properly connected. 
  • Repeat on the other end with another RJ45 jack. Once both jacks are connected, your wiring is complete.
